My big girl!

Monday October 7

You've been running around the house singing/yelling "I don't care! I love it!" over and over and over and over.... Well, I hate that song.... and I have no idea where you heard it....

Tuesday October 8

Me: Did you have fun at tumble?
O: Yes.
Me: What was your favorite part?
O: Spending it with you.

Wednesday October 9

Mommy and daughter picture after getting home from school.

Friday October 11

We got a surprise day off of school because of the incredible amount of rain. So I decided today was the day we were going to really start your potty training! You've been doing really well!

Then we went to Chuck E Cheese! They got a couple new rides too!

 Sat Oct 12

We went shopping with Nan and Paps!

Sunday October 13

We went with Aunt Kimmy to the Renaissance Fair. You dressed up like a princess. You got a medal from the queen at the costume contest. We also went trick or treating and painted a pumpkin together! The highlight for me was seeing you on an elephant! Not many people get that opportunity!

Monday October 14

Another day together off of school! We went shopping and ate lunch at Chilis. That afternoon we got the family pictures taken with daddy's side of the family.

All week you wanted to listen to the song "What does the fox say?" A little ridiculous but funny. This was also your first full week in the 3s room. You've learned the letter C and D. You are thrilled that you get to play on the "big kid playground!" So proud of you!

mommy

Where is fall??

It was so, so, sooooo hot. Definitely does not feel like fall yet. Nan and Paps came over to watch you so mommy and daddy could go run their 5k. After that we went to West York to the Truck Touch. You got to sit in the back of a police car, touch a digger, sit on a pusher, stand on the back of a garbage truck. You go inside of an ambulance, a fire truck and school bus.

After nap we headed over to Drummer Boy campground to have dinner with family and friends. You got to play with Baby Ali and a little girl named Marin. You were all playing picnic.

We also got to go on our first hay ride of the season!

You wanted to spend a lot of time at the Haunted House. You liked saying hi to the zombie girls. The skeleton mask and the clown guy spooked you out a bit but you still said hi to them and waved at them. You were very brave.

love you,
mommy

September Star

So I know it is October- but I had to share that you were the Star of the Month of September in your Twiddlebug 2s room! You also have the most Twiddlebug Stars in your class for being such a great helper.

I'm glad you were the star last month since I got the note today letting me know you are going to begin your transition to the 3-year-old classroom next week. I am so excited for you and so proud of you and all you have accomplished and learned in the 2s. (I know I will probably write that every single year though. Haha.) I am sure going to miss Miss Bambi and Miss Jess though and I know you will too. You will also miss O.B.- your doggy penpal from the neighborhood near your school. You talk about him everyday. Buuuut you'll be back with your best school friends; Lea and Nuriyah... and I know you will love that! Plus, you'll finally get to play on the BIG KID side of the playground! Yay!

Hugs and kisses,
mommy

Silly Words of Olivia

10.2.2013
After playing- and winning- Candy Land you say to me....
"You're not the winner."
Gee- thanks.

10.4.2013
On the way home from school....
Me: I'm hungry. I'm going to eat your piggies.
O: No, you eat a salad.
You are right, I probably should eat a salad.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Olivia!

September 28, 2013- PARTY DAY!

We went shopping to get all the last minute items... and of course, a Princess balloon!

The set up begins. Your theme this year was Bubble Guppies! I'm thankful that we were able to fit this in before you completely moved into your Princess stage... I think I'll always love Bubble Guppies though.

So many family and friends made it to the party. Nan, Paps, Aunt Kimmy, Aunt KiiKii, Aunt RaRa, Uncle Alex, Uncle Eric, Mr Dakota, Uncle Kyle, Uncle Kurtis, Miss Crystal, Grandmom, PopPop, Great Aunt Bo, Great Uncle Rick, Aunt Angie and Cousin Ben. Jordyn and family, Jocelyn and family, Brenna and family, Brooke and family, Miss Diana and Mr Adam too. It was so awesome to see so many people come out to celebrate with you. It overwhelms me at time how generous people can be.

Then it was time to blow out your 3 candles and eat your cake. Singing "Happy Birthday" is usually the hardest part for me. It means another year has gone by. I don't want to be sad because we have all these wonderful, happy memories that I am so thankful to share with you. But it also means another year has gone of you being my little baby... and each day you grow bigger, and smarter and more beautiful.

September 29, 2013- You are 3!
So we started a tradition on your 1st birthday where you have to break through the crepe paper wall in the morning. This year was the first that you actually went through it on your own. Of course, you tried to crawl under it first... but we put you back in and then you ran through!

Then we had our annual family pictures. You have the biggest smile that just lights up the room. It is amazing to see just how much you've grown and changed over these three years.

Then we went to Nan and Pap's for the Raven's game. They lost. Boo. After we got home it was time for family presents and ice-cream cake!

Lot's of princess stuff- of course! And the ice cream cake was a total bomb. Too hard. and you freaked out. Never again.... okay, maybe not never, but many years....

So, Happy 3rd Birthday, my little princess. I'm looking forward to what this year brings you, and to us as a family. I can't wait to see how you grow and mature, and what milestones you'll reach. I'm sure it will all be one great big adventure.

xoxo,
mommy

September Recap... Good-bye my little toddler 2!

September 15

"Abracadabra! Fire to you!" I really have no idea where you get this stuff from..... Will be expecting our letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry here shortly.... I cannot wait to read the Harry Potter books to/with you!!

First full night in your "big girl bed!" I kept getting up to check on you because I just couldn't believe it. So we went and picked out bedding for your bed- and of course- you got Disney princesses....

After we went to get your "surprise" bedding we went to watch the
Raven's game at Nan and Pap's house.

September 15
Daddy: What's mommy's name?
O: Kelly
Daddy: What's daddy's name?
O: Maximus
Yup, you have seen "Tangled" a couple thousand times...

September 19
If you think I was kidding about how many times you've seen "Tangled," this morning you said "Mommy, don't ever ask to leave this tower again."
and pretty much have that entire song memorized now...

September 20

Purple Friday! Showing off your Raven's cheerleader moves!

September 23

Went shopping for a coat and found a witch costume for you to wear for Halloween. It is still up for debate if you are going to be a good witch or a bad witch. Thank goodness the Transformer mask was not the chosen costume this year....

September 26
Daddy was golfing this afternoon so we had a mommy-daughter date at Cheddars. You got grilled cheese and I got grown-up grilled cheese. I had to take your french fries away so you would eat you sandwich so you quick-as-a-wink stole one off my plate. You did this again about 5 minutes later. After dinner we (I) made cupcakes for you to take to school on Friday. Let the birthday weekend begin! Good-bye 2! Hello 3!

It has been an amazing 3 years!
all my love,
mommy

I've got a dream....

We've had a lot of fun this week. Last Saturday you hung out with Nan and Paps while mommy and daddy ran a 5k in Shrewsbury. For lunch, we went to the Amish Markets since they were having a BBQ competition. You had a great time trying out all of the different play-sets they had. You loved this one because of the house up there. You also loved to swing on the rings. We also got to spend Sunday with Nan and Pap's again since football was on.
You didn't take a nap and were a wreck that night.

A conversation between us:
O: We're friends.
Me: Who?
O: Me and you.
Me: We are best friends.
O: Yeah, we're best pals.

You got another Twiddle Star on Wednesday. You are so proud when you get one. We get to decorate it at home then send it back to school where they post it on the wall.

Thursday was a stormy day. We sat outside and waited for one to come along. We made it about 10 minutes. Once it rained you got upset by how loud it was on the metal awning. So we sat by the sliding door and watched the storm from there instead.
Thursday was also the first night you tried to sleep in your big girl bed. You made it about 5 minutes and then asked to go in your crib. I think you just feel safer in your crib. There is too much that can happen in a bed with no bars. Last night you made it a little longer but kept getting out of bed and walking down the hall. We will keep trying!

Thursday night I got you the 'Tangled' (aka Rapunzel) soundtrack since you woke up Thursday morning and mommy asked "Did you have good dreams?" and your replied by singing "I've got a dream, I've got a dream." We've been listening to it in the van every morning.

This morning we had our first session of Fall Soccer Shots. Jordyn was there too! I think we may try to get you back in to the 2 group. The 3+ group is a little big and intimidating. You didn't want to do much at all which isn't what we want you to remember about soccer.

We are finally moving forward with moving to a new house! We packed our first box today. Hopefully everything will go smoothly as possible and is an easy transition for you.

You are my star,
mommy
