Disney Movie Night: The Incredibles

Our countdown reads 11 days and tonight was The Incredibles! We ate BBQ HERO sandwiches, GAMMA green beans, and POWER pineapples. For dessert we had JACKJACK jello. Then we dressed up like SUPERHEROES! to watch the movie. You really liked this movie- and clapped when it was over!

Hershey Park Happy!

Tuesday morning we did our usual Gymboree and Library fun. Daddy got home early so we went to Hershey Park!
Riding rides took a little more bravery from you this time around due to that unfortunate event at  Dutch Wonderland last week and mommy going against her gut to let you get on the Whip.... (they stopped the ride for you, we left the park and mommy was in tears) but it turned out to be a wonderful evening. We got to do quite a lot in the few hours we were there!

Today we are going to play with Nan, a little preDisney shopping, then lunch with Miss Shanda, Miss Randi, Jessyn and Joselyn!

xoxo,
mommy

Disney Movie Night: Aladdin

For our second Disney Movie Night we watched Aladdin!
For dinner we had soup and SANDwiches. Outside, we made some sand art- just putting glue on construction paper and using our hands to add sand. For dessert we had "Genie Juice" which was just a slushie with blue gatorade. And of course, you can't watch Aladdin without your Abu hats!

Disney Movie Night: Lady and the Tramp

So- for the final 2 week countdown we are doing Disney Movie Family Nights- if we are home.
Last night was our first one and it was Lady and the Tramp.

For dinner we ate Spaghetti and Meatballs, we made a Spaghetti and Meatball plate with yarn and pompoms, we made puppy hats and ate graham cracker "dog bones" for dessert!

O: Mommy and Daddy! (looking at a wedding picture)
Me: That's the day mommy and daddy got married!
O: You have to wear costumes?
Me: When people get married they dressup in wedding dresses and tuxedos.
O: That looks like fun!

july 16:
O: I'm so so soooooo so so so so sooooooooooo hungry.
Me: So you're a little hungry, huh?
O: No, I am BIG hungry!

It's been awhile.... summer 2013!

Guess I am not very good at keeping this thing up to date. Summer has been a lot of fun so far. Somedays I wish it wasn't- it makes it THAT much harder to go back to work.

We went to Myrtle Beach June 29- July 6. Aunt Kara, Aunt Kimmy, Aunt KiiKii, Uncle Kenny, Uncle Alex and Mr. Dakota came too. We had lots of fun sitting in the sand, playing in the ocean and swimming in the pool. Your favorite was definitely the sand. You played with your Mickey set and made pools for them. We also want to WonderWorks, Margaritaville, Dicks Last Resort, and mini golfing. The drive was long but you had Aunt KiiKii to sit next to.

We got a season pass to Dutch Wonderland. You love Princess Brooke and Dukie (Duke). Your favorite ride is the Panda and you love the slides at the water part.

Mommy ran her 1st 5K with Daddy and some of your aunts and uncles in June. Maybe someday soon you'll do the kids fun runs.

We also have been going to Gymboree classes. You have pretended to go grocery shopping, play baseball and played with dinosaurs! It's been awesome to watch your enjoyment.

You started soccer in June too. I can't decide if you like it or not. Maybe the hot weather makes it hard to play the whole 30 minutes. However, you look super cute in you pink striped socks!

I took you to the doctors on Thursday. You were running 103.6 temperature and kept saying "My mouth hurts. " You weren't eating at all, well it turns out you got strep.  Another round of antibiotics for you. Thank goodness you are taking your medicine with no problems this time around.

12 days until Disney World! We start our family movie nights tonight! I can't wait!
All my love,
mommy

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

We went to Rehoboth Beach last weekend. We left Saturday morning after breakfast and got there around 9:30am. The first thing we did was play mini golf. You enjoyed hitting, picking up the balls out of the holes, and seeing all the decor. Then we ate Grotto Pizza. Yum! It's our favorite! After nap we went to play in the sand on the beach. You thought this was the best thing ever. You played for over an hour and didnt get up once. For dinner we went to Crabby Dicks. You had a little crab cake but loved the fries best! We went to get dessert after on the boardwalk but you started throwing a fit so we had to go back to the hotel for an early bedtime. You kept saying "that's where we live?" and could find the hotel by the water tower. You would yell "castle!" every time we saw it.
Saturday morning we went for donuts at the Fractured Prune. You had a strawberry shortcake and a sprinkle one. They were really good! We went on the beach for a little while again then we rented bikes. You rode on the back of daddy's. You looked like you had a good time and were just really taking it all in. After lunch at Gus' (best cheesesteaks EVER!- but you ate a hot dog) we went shopping in a couple of the outlet stores (Coach) then headed home.

"Look, I got a booger guys!"- Olivia

A little boy hit you last week in school. It left a nasty mark under your eye. You told daddy that Sam is not your friend tonight. He sat in timeout.

You've been learning red and green in Spanish this week so I've been trying to teach you a Spanish color song- I love the way you say Amarillo (yellow), it is so cute.

Love you mucho,
mommy

You Are Perfect To Me

Every time I hear this song I think about how someday I want you to know this...

"Made a wrong turn once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that’s alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss ‘No way, it’s all good’
It didn’t slow me down.
Mistaken, always second guessing
Underestimated, look I’m still around
Pretty, pretty please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you are perfect to me
You’re so mean when you talk
About yourself. You were wrong.
Change the voices in your head
Make them like you instead.
So complicated,
Look happy, You’ll make it!
Filled with so much hatred
Such a tired game
It’s enough, I’ve done all I could think of
Chased down all my demons
I’ve seen you do the same
Pretty, pretty please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you are perfect to me"

Sunny days.....

This weekend was amazing!
Saturday we went to see Disney on Ice! I think you really enjoyed yourself although I also think you were a little overwhelmed with it all. Nan and Paps came up after nap to watch you. You love having them over to our house. When they were leaving you told Paps "don't go" and it was really sweet.
Today we got lots of work done around the house- mostly outside. It was a bit chilly but otherwise beautiful day.
Some silly conversations over the past two weeks:

Getting ready for school...
Olivia: I go to school to see my friends!
Mommy: Can I be your friend?
Olivia: No.
Mommy: Why?
Olivia: You yucky.

Giving you your breakfast...
Mommy; Here you go princess Olivia.
Olivia: Thank you princess Mommy.

Easter weekend was super busy- but fun.
Saturday we went to camp with Granmom and PopPop. You got to go on an Easter Egg hunt and you did so awesome. You even won a prize (bunny ears) for getting 10 eggs! You also got to see the Easter Bunny again. We had another hunt back at the camp sight and dyed eggs again. You love playing with Cousin Ben.
Sunday morning was spend finding the stuff the Bunny left for you here overnight. He left you Minnie animal toys and Disney Princesses and a couple books! That afternoon we went down to Nan and Paps house for dinner and to see everyone.

We are so proud of how well you did at you 2.5 year check up last Thursday too! You are now almost 34 inches tall and at 29.5 pounds!

You are my sunshine!

Love,
mommy

Makes me feel like I can't live without you...

"Many will travel to hear you speak" was your first ever fortune cookie you opened on March 21st. I would not be surprised you are a good speaker.

On March 23rd we had a busy day. You went to visit the Easter Bunny at the mall and got your picture taken. You did very well- you've always loved the Easter Bunny! (Santa is one one we usually have problems with!) After nap we took you bowling for the first time! You seemed to really enjoy it! They had a cool contraption that all you had to do was push the ball down the ramp. We tried to let you push it by yourself once and it ended up getting stuck in the middle of the lane! The weather was decent so we spend a little while outside and you drove your power wheel jeep around out back.

Sunday (3-24) we dyed Easter Eggs in the morning. You liked putting stickers on the eggs. After nap we went down to Nan and Paps. Mommy was at the makeup party and you hung out with Paps! Before we left you got to say goodbye to Kasper. He was very sick with Kidney failure and passed away the next morning :(

Monday night we took you to the doctor. Turns out you have allergies, which turned into a sinus infection and led to postnasal drip. You would wake up in the night with a nasty dry-heaving like cough. It was pretty scary. So you get to take Claritin every morning and you were also put on antibiotics for the first time in your life. We had a pretty good streak going. Most babies don't make it a year :)

On Thursday morning I asked you if I could go to your class Easter party and you said "No. You too big. You can't come. You stay here."

Yesterday wasGood Friday and we had off school. We went shopping with Aunt Kii Kii and ate lunch at Isaacs. Later Nan and Paps came up to play at our house while mommy and daddy went out for dinner.

We have a busy next couple of days so I'll have to write about those later. This morning you started yelling "I found gold! I found gold!" and you came running over to give me a quarter.

Love you so much.... as well as your little personality,
mommy

Watch me mommy!

Your communication skills are expanding by the moment, and are truly amazing. You are speaking in sentences and able to have an actual conversation. I just cannot believe it. Frequently you ask, "what's that?" You are curious to learn about everything that you can.
Yesterday you tried to peepee on the potty. You didn't go in the potty and by the time I ran to the sunroom and back with a diaper you peed on the carpet. I suppose there is a first time for everything. You also got to meet Mr. Alex- who may possibly be your uncle in the future. Aunt Kara and him have not been together since right around the time you were born and if memory serves, you didn't meet him- and if you did you weren't very old.
Today we went to Nan and Pap's house to play. You wore your shamrock dress (Happy St. Patty's Day!) and your new boots- which you LOVE, are so proud of, and won't take off. You're new favorite phrase is "Watch me!" which you said a lot today. Speaking of St.Patty's Day, you were apparently overjoyed with your week in school. The "silly" leprechaun at your school played tricks on you all week. He turned your milk green, shrunk the hat you made, made a "big mess" in your classroom and even left you gold (chocolate!) You were over the moon telling me about it each day.
Our Disney trip is planned, now we only need to see if mommy's work schedule will allow us to go! We are also looking forward to our beach trip, which is only a little over 3 months away!

All my love,
mommy

I'm dreaming of a white.....

We had a snow day today. Actually, it was just a free day off of school because we got no snow. It was predicted we would get like 10 inches. Not. even. close.
Today is just the second snow day we've had together. The last time was when you were 4 months old. We have, however, gotten 4 hurricane days in the past two years.
Daddy took the day off too. We went to Infinitos for dinner and had pizza and pasta - it was delicious. You ate it all up.
Love you lots,
mommy

Yes it's true - we love you.

The week started off so well; mommy had off work Monday so we met Aunt Kii, Aunt Ra, Uncle Eric, Miss Nikki and Jordyn at Chuck E Cheese! Aunt Kii brought you in the ticket blaster and you did NOT like it at all. Other than that we all had a great time!

This week you learned a new song/chant at school. The whole way home you sang "mommy, mommy we love you. Yes it's true, we love you. Mommy, mommy we love you. *blow kiss*" Then you would say "daddy's turn" and sing it with his name. Then Maggie got a turn, and then Mozy got a turn. It was cute.

On Wednesday we had tumble and then went to Sweet Frog for a treat. You fell asleep on the way home- at 7pm - which you never do. Welllll, turns out you were starting to get sick. 102.7 fever. Mommy stayed home with you Thursday and daddy stayed home with you on Friday. This morning (Saturday) you had swimming. We stopped at Kohls on the way home because mommy wanted to get you some TwinkleToe shoes - and got an awesome deal on them- $15!! We went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. I'm super happy you ate some of you dinner because you have eaten pretty much nothing the past 3 days. You also started to have some super watery BMs today :( I just want you healthy again. At Target you got a toy Mater from the movie Cars. I love how you say Mater. Lol.

In addition to watching Bubble Guppies and Team UmiZoomie you've now taken a liking to Little Einsteins. I find it odd although it is interesting in an odd way.

On a great note, we booked our Disney resort (Allstar Sports) in August. All I need is a start date in the fall to book our airfare and buy our park tickets! Soooo excited!!

Love you so much,
mommy

Put a Little Love in your Heart

This afternoon we went to have an early Valentines dinner at Isaacs. On the way there, you started singing the "Days of the Week" song. And you sang all the words right. Pretty awesome considering a lots of Kindergarters can't do that. Tumble was a good time. You are getting really good at jumping. We saw lots of snow on the way home. It would be a great Valentines present to get a two hour delay.

Your Valentine,
mommy
