Monsters Inc. movie night! First, we made monsters out of coffee filters! For dinner we had monster sandwiches, monster mix and BOOberries. For dessert we had door S'mores! 12 days left!!!!

Disney Movie Night: The Emperors New Groove

"The Emperor's New Groove" family night! For dinner we had Kronk's cream puffs, Pacha's pork chops, and Kuzco's cous cous! For dessert we had Squeak Squeakin' acorns then and we colored Peruvian masks! 20 days until Disney!

Disney Movie Night: The Lion King

We made our own lion masks - even Maggie got to wear one! For dinner we had Pride Rock potatoes, Tree of Life broccoli and Wildebeest steaks! For desert we had zebra cakes!

First, we made our own jeweled dinglehoppers. For dinner we had stuffed shells! and special oysters made from Reese's cups.

August 2014

Lots of fun happened in August!

We went to the Turkey Hill Experience. We tried ice cream and juice. 

We also got to make our own ice cream and commercial!

We went to Mister Ed's Elephant Museum!

Played in the rain!

Went to the Hershey Gardens!

Ate dinner at the Glen Rock Mill Inn with grandma, grandpa, Nan, Paps, Uncle Kyle, Uncle Eric, and Aunt KiiKii.

You got a two-wheeler (with training wheels!)

Of course we went to Dutch Wonderland.

Fun at camp!

We went at saw the Lego Movie at M & T Bank Stadium where the Raven's play!

First day of school!

and Jordyn's birthday party!

Disney Movie Night: Peter Pan

ARR MATEY! 7 more weeks until we are at Disney! This week we watched Peter Pan! Your favorite part was Tick-tock Croc chasing Cap't Hook! We made eye patches and sails for our Jolly Roger Pizzas.

My favorite part of the night was seeing you on your treasure hunt! You found "gold doubloons" and  your treasure was "The Big Book of BooBoos."

July 24

I'm so excited that my necklace arrived today! It was made from a picture of yourself that you made back in May. I absolutely love it!

July 25

This morning we went to Jungle Gym and met Brooke for a play date! You had a lot of fun. My favorite park was when you came over and gave me a kiss on my cheek. Then we went to lunch and the library!

July 26

This afternoon we went to camp to celebrate Aunt Angie's birthday!

July 28

We had to run some errands- like get dog food and ink. So to have some fun we stopped at the park then went to the "taco house."

Super excited! During our upcoming trip to Disney you are going to turn into a Mermaid at the Pirate's League. So, of course, you needed a mermaid costume to complete the look. It came today!

July 31

Today we went to Kid Kingdom park to play with Grandmom then stopped at the Hanover Shoe Farm to see some horses!

While we were at the park, in the port a pot you saw a urinal.

You: "What's that?"

Me: "A urinal, its where boys pee."

You: "but their butts won't fit in there!"

That evening we went mini-golfing with daddy! Mommy won! You also hit me in the face with your club, not on purpose. We finished the evening with ice cream!

Christmas in July: Hershey Park

Today you and I ventured out to Hershey Park. We were going to meet up with Kaylee, but she rides on things you won't get near. Your favorite ride is the swings!

It was very difficult to get you to ride anything today, even the train. You were being overly sensitive to loud noises today for some reason. Luckily, we had the option to walk around Zoo America and see the Sea Lion Show.... both of which you enjoyed. You kept asking to see more animals.

The last thing we got to do is ride the Hershey Chocolate Tour ride, which thank goodness is not loud. You are a Kiss this year- which means you are taller than 36"! Yay!

We will see what rides you ride at Disney. Hopefully all of them!

Disney Movie Night: Ratatouille

Bonjour! 7 weeks until Disney! I stayed up late to make sure we got our Fastpasses for all the rides and attractions we want to do- namely, meet Anna and Elsa! This week, our movie night is, Ratatouille! We made chef’s hats to wear! Here is our menu- ala French- since that is the setting of the movie!

Dinner:

Egg and Cheese Soufflé

French Toast

Croissants

Strawberry Crepes for dessert!

The subwoofer was up a little too high for your liking and you had your hands over your ears for a lot of it. It was a good movie though!

"We're So Fancy...."

July 15

We went to the Spring Grove library for story time. Today was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and you got to make a necklace. I couldn't believe how well you were able to put the yarn through the noodles!

July 16

I was so excited to take you to the ZOO! You haven't been since you were 9 months old!

Baby Ali and Miss Steph met us there! We had a great time and it was a beautiful day!

July 17

Library storytime, this time at the Glen Rock library. We listened to Llama Llama books and then Llama Llama came to visit. You did not want to go near him at first! Then you made your own little llama on the letter L with little pieces of yarn.

July 18

The Jefferson Carnival was tonight. We didn't get to stay for long. You didn't get a nap today and weren't in the happiest of moods. You rode the train and the horses. That was it. You did play a fishing game and won an inflatable hammer. We keep it in the car so Mozy and Maggie don't break a hole in it.

July 19

Today was a BUSY day. First, we went to a birthday party for Kaylee. We went to Jungle Gym then to her house. You didn't really want to play with anyone else but seemed to get along with Kaylee.

Later that night we headed down to Baltimore for the Electric Run!

It was very loud at the beginning but got quieter as we ran. You LOVED the bubble machines and ran through parts with me. You ran faster than I did!

Can't believe our summer is half over already! I hate having to send you back to school because I don't get to spend so much time with you! Luckily, we have a lot of fun over the summer!
