I've got a dream....

We've had a lot of fun this week. Last Saturday you hung out with Nan and Paps while mommy and daddy ran a 5k in Shrewsbury. For lunch, we went to the Amish Markets since they were having a BBQ competition. You had a great time trying out all of the different play-sets they had. You loved this one because of the house up there. You also loved to swing on the rings. We also got to spend Sunday with Nan and Pap's again since football was on.
You didn't take a nap and were a wreck that night.

A conversation between us:
O: We're friends.
Me: Who?
O: Me and you.
Me: We are best friends.
O: Yeah, we're best pals.

You got another Twiddle Star on Wednesday. You are so proud when you get one. We get to decorate it at home then send it back to school where they post it on the wall.

Thursday was a stormy day. We sat outside and waited for one to come along. We made it about 10 minutes. Once it rained you got upset by how loud it was on the metal awning. So we sat by the sliding door and watched the storm from there instead.
Thursday was also the first night you tried to sleep in your big girl bed. You made it about 5 minutes and then asked to go in your crib. I think you just feel safer in your crib. There is too much that can happen in a bed with no bars. Last night you made it a little longer but kept getting out of bed and walking down the hall. We will keep trying!

Thursday night I got you the 'Tangled' (aka Rapunzel) soundtrack since you woke up Thursday morning and mommy asked "Did you have good dreams?" and your replied by singing "I've got a dream, I've got a dream." We've been listening to it in the van every morning.

This morning we had our first session of Fall Soccer Shots. Jordyn was there too! I think we may try to get you back in to the 2 group. The 3+ group is a little big and intimidating. You didn't want to do much at all which isn't what we want you to remember about soccer.

We are finally moving forward with moving to a new house! We packed our first box today. Hopefully everything will go smoothly as possible and is an easy transition for you.

You are my star,
mommy

Last month of being a 2-year-old begins...

To finish our busy Labor Day weekend we spent Sunday afternoon at the Kincaid's cookout. Mommy and daddy got to play volleyball. You got to run around the yard, play in the treehouse and watch the bigger kids play in the pool.
On Monday we went to Nan and Paps. Everyone went up to the park to play football. Mommy, Nan and Paps played on the playground with you. You went down the big, big slide. You loved playing on the seahorse- that was your favorite. Paps was being silly and falling off the rock climber. You thought it was hilarious.

You cried for the 1st time ever when I dropped you off at school on Wednesday. It made me feel horrible. It has been rough in the mornings lately. You just don't want to wake up, get ready or go to school. You say "Don't go to work." I know once I leave you have a great time. It makes me happy when you are excited to see me when I come to pick you up.
Yesterday we went to the castle park to play after we left the mall. You and daddy had fun riding the escalators, playing on the stage and looking at the movies. You also had a cookie and dippin dots.

I was absolutely amazed by the way you signed Uncle Kenny's birthday card last night. You are just so smart. Thankfully, you got my handwriting.... still need to work on the 'v' and learn how to write an 'a' but you are a quick learner.

You will get to see Nan and Paps a lot this weekend. That should make you happy. You love playing there. The weather is starting to feel more like fall- mommy's favorite season! So many things that are coming up- 1st up is your birthday! Cannot believe you'll be 3!

love you,
mommy

Busy Week Recap

This week has been a super busy week! On Wednesday you were wearing mommy's heels and stated "I'm a rockstar!" Then we went shopping with Nan and Paps at Salvation Army. You love to play in the toy room. You and Paps dressed up like firefighters!

On Thursday we went to Dutch Wonderland since daddy got off work early. Guess what?? You were finally tall enough to ride the froggies! 36" woo woo! It is your new favorite ride too! You rode it 3 times in a row! You also got to give Duke and Princess Brooke hugs goodbye!

Friday was a special, surprise day off for mommy! The AC didn't work in her school building so they canceled school :) We played princesses and went to Nan and Paps. The picture shows you and Alejandro. Friday night we went to the mall. You got to play in Tumbletown which you love. You went up in the tunnels but wouldn't go down the slide yet. We also ate at Subway and did a little shopping.

Saturday morning we went to Jordyn's 3rd birthday party at the pool! We had pizza and cheese puffs. Cannot believe that you'll be having your own 3rd birthday party in less than a month.

Saturday afternoon we went to Grandmom and Pop pop's camp. We played with Cousin Ben, ate tacos and went swimming again. You laid down in the pool which was fun to see you so comfortable in the water.

You woke up this morning with 100.5 fever. Hopefully we can have a restful morning and you can feel better as we are supposed to be going to another cookout this afternoon. You have started to say "I love you so so soooooo much." and it surely is the most wonderful feeling ever.

all my love,
mommy

Surprise!

We decided to go to Dutch Wonderland for a few hours Tuesday night. You thought we were going to the mall.... and when you saw Dutch Wonderland I said "surprise!" and you got upset and said "Don't say surprise!" but we had a good time anyway! I was sad because you were finally ready to go on the frog ride- but they said you weren't tall enough yet. Maybe next time??

First Day of School 2013

Going back to work is so hard because it means I don't get to spend so much of my time with you!

Walt Disney World 2013!

Day 1: Disney Hollywood Studios

What a great way to start our vacation! The weather was good and the rain held off. You loved the Disney Junior Live! on Stage. I think that was your favorite part of the day. You sure loved meeting the characters. We rode Toy Story Mania- which happened to be a little rough but you liked seeing the characters. You did NOT enjoy the Great Movie Ride however. Bad mommy moment of the year for me. You were holding your ears and screaming during the first part of it, which was a gun fight. Luckily we managed to keep your eyes of the alien coming out of the ceiling later on in the ride. We heading back to the hotel and got some sleep. Some I say because you didn't fall asleep until after 11.....

Day 2: Magic Kingdom

My favorite place in the world. I'm so happy we got to spend so much time here!

Here you are in from of Cinderella's castle. You pointed it out each and every time you saw it.
It was really special.

We got to eat lunch at "Be Our Guest" which is new. It wasn't here when we came in the fall of 2012. Dumbo was your favorite ride- as I'm sure you will be able to tell from the amount of pictures over the course of the trip. We rode it at least 6 times.....

This meeting between you and Merida is one of my favorite moments of the entire trip. It was truly that amazing. You ran into her arms and gave her such a sweet hug. She even gave you a lipstick kiss of the cheek. She even cheered for you when you shot a bow and arrow. Love this.

We finished the day off meeting Tinkerbell, Cinderella and Rapunzel! This totally made your day complete!

Day 3: Magic Kingdom

We started off the morning by having breakfast at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. You got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto! You were a little hesitant about Goofy, at first.... but you warmed up to him!

Another one of my favorite trip moments was seeing you play "Chip" in Belle's Enchanted Tales. It was a great moment and you did so well up there on your own!

This is my favorite picture of the entire trip! I love how I don't even need any words to describe it. I love the joy and this single picture sums up the entire trip.

We were going to stay for the parade the previous night but the rain and intense lightning ruin that for us. BUUUUUT we got watch it that night. You were really into the parade but we had to leave for the fireworks. I guess the 4th of July wasn't just a one-night-really-exhausted-thing afterall.

Day 4: Downtown Disney and Magic Kingdom

This morning was a break from the parks. We went to Downtown Disney to shop and have lunch. We ate at the T-Rex Cafe too! You got to pick out some neat Disney things for your Mr/Mrs Potato Head.

We rode Dumbo again this afternoon. Mommy got to try her Lefou's Brew! (you did too of course!) It was sooooo good!

Today you got to meet Daisy, Minnie, Goofy and Donald in the Storybook Circus! We also (FINALLY) got to meet Jasmine and Aladdin today as well- we had been trying all week! And we found Tiana and Prince Naveen! That was a really cute meeting as well. They loved you!

To end the night we rode- what else?- Dumbo again! It was really cool to be able to ride it at night!

Day 5: EPCOT

EPCOT had some great moments. During our lunch at Akershus, Belle said you were the cutest kid she's seen- and she's seen a lot. She even left a lipstick kiss on your cheek! Later, Snow White left a lipstick kiss on your forehead! You were covered in lipstick! You also got to give hugs to Ariel, Cinderella and Aurora. We met Mulan in China, Alice in the United Kingdom and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger there too! Funniest story of the trip: while in Spaceship Earth ride (aka the big ball) before we knew what happened, you picked "FRENCH" as our language. So we got to listen to the entire ride in french, which was great because we also got stuck on the ride for 15 minutes!

Day 6: Animal Kingdom

We started the Animal Kingdom at the Donald's Safari at the Tusker House. Daddy also wore thie Cheshire Cat Mickey ears today. We saw lots of animals! The giraffe was really close to us on our safari ride. We got to meet Rafiki and Pocahontas! The petting zoo was a bit of a bust since it was SO hot and the animals were all hiding where it was a tad bit cooler.

Day 7: Magic Kingdom

To complete our fantasy week at Disney World we had to go back to the Magic Kingdom one last time!
\
Today was a day for all of our favorites. We did Belle's Enchanted Tales again, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Peter Pan, Small World, Magic Carpets, the Jungle Cruise, and Winnie the Pooh! Mommy and daddy got to see the daytime parade- but you missed it because it was nap time in the stroller time. You got to meet Gaston, Woody and Jessie! What was the final thing we needed to do before heading home? Meet the original Mickey of course!

See you real soon, Mickey!

Disney, Here we come!

The day before we left you got mail from your Fairy Godmother! You were so happy and LOVED getting the Minnie Mouse postcard!
The morning of our trip we had Mickey pancakes (which you confusingly call cupcakes at times) and couldn't believe it was time for our trip already!

We went to Baltimore to see Aunt Kara and Uncle Alex's new place and had dinner with them. Then we headed down the rest of the way to Washington DC. We stayed at the Crystal City Holiday Inn since our flight out was really early! 7am!
Here we are, ready for take off! We can't wait to get there!
