Christmas in July: Hershey Park

Today you and I ventured out to Hershey Park. We were going to meet up with Kaylee, but she rides on things you won't get near. Your favorite ride is the swings!
It was very difficult to get you to ride anything today, even the train. You were being overly sensitive to loud noises today for some reason. Luckily, we had the option to walk around Zoo America and see the Sea Lion Show.... both of which you enjoyed. You kept asking to see more animals.
The last thing we got to do is ride the Hershey Chocolate Tour ride, which thank goodness is not loud. You are a Kiss this year- which means you are taller than 36"! Yay!

We will see what rides you ride at Disney. Hopefully all of them!

all my love,
mommy

Disney Movie Night: Ratatouille

Bonjour! 7 weeks until Disney! I stayed up late to make sure we got our Fastpasses for all the rides and attractions we want to do- namely, meet Anna and Elsa! This week, our movie night is, Ratatouille! We made chef’s hats to wear! Here is our menu- ala French- since that is the setting of the movie!

Dinner:
Egg and Cheese Soufflé
French Toast
Croissants
Strawberry Crepes for dessert!

The subwoofer was up a little too high for your liking and you had your hands over your ears for a lot of it. It was a good movie though!

je t'aime!

"We're So Fancy...."

July 15
We went to the Spring Grove library for story time. Today was "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and you got to make a necklace. I couldn't believe how well you were able to put the yarn through the noodles!

July 16
I was so excited to take you to the ZOO! You haven't been since you were 9 months old!
Baby Ali and Miss Steph met us there! We had a great time and it was a beautiful day!

July 17
Library storytime, this time at the Glen Rock library. We listened to Llama Llama books and then Llama Llama came to visit. You did not want to go near him at first! Then you made your own little llama on the letter L with little pieces of yarn.

July 18
The Jefferson Carnival was tonight. We didn't get to stay for long. You didn't get a nap today and weren't in the happiest of moods. You rode the train and the horses. That was it. You did play a fishing game and won an inflatable hammer. We keep it in the car so Mozy and Maggie don't break a hole in it.

July 19
Today was a BUSY day. First, we went to a birthday party for Kaylee. We went to Jungle Gym then to her house. You didn't really want to play with anyone else but seemed to get along with Kaylee.

Later that night we headed down to Baltimore for the Electric Run!

It was very loud at the beginning but got quieter as we ran. You LOVED the bubble machines and ran through parts with me. You ran faster than I did!

Can't believe our summer is half over already! I hate having to send you back to school because I don't get to spend so much time with you! Luckily, we have a lot of fun over the summer!

love you lots,
mommy

Disney Movie Night: Wreck It Ralph

We've started our two month countdown! Instead of having 2 weeks straight of movie nights I plan on spreading them out and doing 1 a week until we leave September 12.
Tonight we watched Wreck It Ralph- which none of us had seen all of it. We made our own HERO medals to wear. Here is the menu...

Dinner:
Felix’s Pie (Chicken Pot Pie)
Not-so- Sour Bills (Green peas)
Dessert:
Root Beer Floats
Sugar Rush Candy Carts

You did NOT like the root beet floats but had a lot of fun making your candy cart!
Can't wait for our Disney 2014 trip!

xoxoxoxo,
mommy

Dog Days of Summer

June 2nd
It was Hershey Park Happy, HOT and for free today. Mommy won tickets by calling a radio station!
It was also Hershey Park STORMY! We didn't get to stay very long because twice the ride and water park closed down. Thankfully, we are getting our tickets replaced and will get to go again.

July 4th
This morning we went hiking at the Codorus LaHo trail with Mozy and Mags. They loved going in the water to fetch sticks. You had a great time!

We spent the afternoon at Nan and Paps. You made pictures with sidewalk chalk, played in the bubble tower, and got to play with Uncle Kenny, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa too, they all came to visit from Georgia! Aunt Kara, Aunt Kimmy, Mr. Dakota, Aunt KiiKii, Uncle Kyle and Uncle Kurtis were there too!
That night we set off fireworks. Your earmuffs work great!

July 6th
Got to spend some more time with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa! (and their doggy Scooter!)

July 7th
Another pool day with mommy!

July 9th
We were going to go to the library but a bad storm the night before knocked all the power out at the library. So instead, we went to a new place called Jungle Gym!
After, we went on a picnic at the Glen Rock Park, then stopped at the library to get some more books!

Here is you with Mozart and Maggie!

July 10th
This is what you said this morning:

Me: Time to get up and get dressed!
O: You don't understand me!

As a surprise we went to the $1 movie to see the first How to Train your Dragon! You love popcorn. Earlier in the summer we went to see Despicable Me 2.
After the movie we went to another new playground in Springfield. You wanted to go down the tube slide all by yourself today.

July 11th
Spend the day at camp! Ben and Ali were there to play with. You spent the night and got to play BINGO! You almost won too...

One of your new sayings is "My butt is full." That means you have a wedgie.

all my love,
mommy

June Fun!

June 3rd
We are still living with Grandmom and Poppop. You've done extraordinarily well with the transition. We found a new park near by. We had a lot of fun!

June 7th
Yay! We got to go back to the Land of the Little Horses today!
We got to see our favorite donkey, Trevor. Trevor has been here the past 2 times we've visited also, making it the third year in a row you've seen him here. He is a sweetie.
Here we are getting ready for the tractor ride!
After LotLH we went to camp to go swimming for the first time this year. You definitely feel more comfortable in the water this year!

June 15th
Today is Father's Day. We made daddy a special picture frame. You and I, along with your Aunt RaRa, Aunt Kimmy, and Aunt KiiKii went to the movies! Can you guess which movie we went to?
Here is your first clue...
 Second clue...
Here we are getting ready to see..... How to Train your Dragon 2! It was so good!

June 20th
Family Date to Hickory Falls to play mini golf! Mommy lost :(

June 21st
You ran your 1st 5k this morning! It was the Spirit of Gettysburg. You and daddy ran it in 33 minutes. Mommy made it in 39 minutes!

This evening we went to Codorus Blast with Aunt Kimmy and Mr. Dakota!
Getting ready to see the Dock Dogs!
You LOVED watching the dogs jump into the water!
We had a couple hours to walk around. You sat in a limo! You also got to pet a tarantula, cockroach and scorpion. Yuck!
Then we had a nice view of the lake while waiting for the fireworks to start! They were supposed to start at 9:30 but you fell asleep at 9:25.
We woke you up in time to watch them, which you did with the help of your pink earmuffs!

June 24th
Summer is officially here! We started our summer break the same way we always have: at Nixon Park!
We had a great time exploring the Nature Center and hiking around the park. You mostly enjoyed throwing rocks in the stream.

June 25th
Your new favorite toy is the tricycle. We went to the Manheim park to ride around their walking path. Then we played on the playground for awhile.

June 26th
We started the morning out by going to the Shrewsbury library to see the Pete the Cat puppet show. You thought it was great!
Then we went to the Codorus Pool with Grandmom.
You had so much fun laying around in the shallow water and playing in the splash park.
After dinner we took daddy back to the pool to play with us!

June 28th
We were super excited for the Glow in the Park 5k in Harrisburg.
We got covered in glo-in-the-dark paint and lots of glow sticks! It was a 5k through the city in the dark! There were people squirting colored water at us, throwing colored paint at us, and bubbles to run through! The first bubble station completely covered you and your stroller!

June 30th
Fun at Nan and Paps!

What a wonderful start to our summer!
Love you lots,
mommy
